'Puppy Arcade' comes in 3 flavours:

'Puppy Arcade' has everything required to play classic games/roms from Nintendo, SEGA, Sony, Capcom & more. (97MB)

'Puppy Arcade: GOffice' has all the above and also features the complete goffice suite and printing. (117MB)

'Puppy Arcade: OOffice' has all the above but replaces goffice with OpenOffice 2.2. (205MB)

In summary, the standard 'Puppy Arcade' (97MB) has no office suite. All versions feature lots of gaming emulators and are the same, except that the 'GOffice' version contains the 'goffice' suite (abiword, gnumeric, inkscape), while the 'OOffice' version features 'OpenOffice2.2' (base, calc, writer, impress & draw) instead.

All versions should be small enough to boot to RAM on most PCs, meaning a hard drive is not actually required and that once booted, you can remove Puppy Arcade from your CD/DVD drive, and replace it with a CD/DVD of all your roms, movies etc.

You can also carry Puppy Arcade on a bootable USB stick and play your favourite games on the move.

Most emulators run without OpenGL, except Mupen64Plus and pSX, which DO require OpenGL.
NOTE: ePSXe doesn't need OpenGL in 'software' mode, and can be installed and used instead of pSX.

Enabling OpenGL (for 3D acceleration):

To enable OpenGL, you simply need to find the correct drivers for your card in the puppy repositories, then download and install the relevant .PET file. Then (optionally) follow the softwares' instructions and restart X.

PETS FOR NVIDIA CARDS:
nvidia-7186.pet for ancient nvidia graphics cards (riva TNT to Geforce 1).
nvidia-9643.pet for most nvidia cards (officially Gf2 to Gf4 but tested on Gf7 OK).
nvidia-100.14.19.pet for latest cards (Gf5 to Gf8).

Playing Roms:

For pSX, you'll need to download the psx bios file 'scph1001.bin' to '/usr/local/pSX/bios'. Then, if pSX still doesn't work, open ROX, make sure hidden files are visible and edit the file '/root/.psx/psx.ini', so that the 'PS1' option, found under '[BIOS]', points to the bios file you just added (case-sensitive).

The 'sega' and 'gba' emulators have no frontend, so 'drag and drop' roms onto their desktop icons to play.
If you want to compile any of the frontends available for these emulators, please do! I've had no luck.

Changing Icons:

You can change the icons theme by replacing icons found in '/usr/local/lib/X11/pixmaps'.
If you want to add any additional icons, or change emulator icons, use '/usr/share/pixmaps'.

Notes:

If you're booting on different PCs (maybe via USB stick) - you'll need to install the relevant drivers and 'restart X' on each PC you use, in order to make OpenGL work. This is only required to play roms using Mupen64Plus and pSX.

I have used FirePup (the default browser) as the 'default html-viewer', in order to have a working replacement for gtkmoz.
If anyone can get gtkmoz working again, without re-installing seamonkey, well done.. Tell me how!

Installation:

Please note that (for me, at least) the fastest, easiest and most reliable way to install this to a hard drive or USB stick is simply to copy the Live CD files to a bootable device or partition. This will create a frugal install.

However for boot, install or dependency problems (and so on) you are STRONGLY advised to look elsewhere for help - where the real experts hang out.!! This is a very helpful forum, any bugs or problems you find in this puplet will probably already be solved and well-documented elsewhere, if you know where to look.

This version includes abiword and (accidentally) Nvidia FX5500 drivers, but is missing cups, printer drivers, httpd, gnumeric, inkscape, tcl/tk, gnocl and a few other things! It works great for gaming, but has a few minor bugs and issues elsewhere.

It's always recommended to download the latest versions, as they are first and foremost, bugfix releases.
